Is the sector of gaming and amusement parks is called (entertainment)?

Is the sector of tourism, travel and resorts is called (entertainment)?

Is the sector of restaurants and coffee shops is called (entertainment)?

Is the sector of markets and shopping centres is called (entertainment)?

Is the sector of sports, including its clubs and tournaments, is called (entertainment)?

Is the media sector, satellite TV, cinema and theatre are called (entertainment)?

Is the culture, literature and competition sector is called (entertainment)?

Upon searching and examining, you will notice, as I did, that entertainment is a very wide field. Each sector has used it and considered it one of its basics.

Therefore, we undoubtedly need to define a common concept that can be a reference to the meaning of (entertainment); a definition that highlights its deep importance in individual development and in the economic, social and educational mobility, and in line with the technological boom and the promising economic vision carried out by government leaders in many countries.

The linguistic meaning of the word "entertainment" is to relieve and eliminate distress and fatigue, (the act that makes the time pass pleasantly) and "any activity that allows people to entertain themselves in their free time ..."

In this sense there will be a lot of synonyms and terms that have the same meaning of (entertainment) such as (leisure), (fun), (play), and others.

So we have to know the special meaning of Entertainment – which is as follows:

Every fun activity that has a goal or value behind doing it (such as maintaining human health, developing personality at all levels; psychological, scientific and social level, and gaining various skills and experiences).

I define (entertainment) and distinguish it from other synonyms as an optional activity acceptable to society, enjoyable for the individual (or group) that contributes to its construction and development, either directly or indirectly, at the present or future.

Therefore, any sector can be included under entertainment; since it adds value to the individual or society; either it is an economic, educational, social, cultural or any other value.
