Entertainment ... the Lift of Economic Development Today, entertainment sector is considered a significant element in the economic mobility for countries around the world ...

I will explain this by providing examples through a model from the far west, far east and third is from our Arab countries...

The west model is for USA. A report foe the Outdoor Foundation (on 2010) stated that entertainment is contributing by USD 730 million to American economy, and supporting 6.5 million job around the world and adding USD 88 billion to the union and federal tax revenue every year.

In the eastern model, we will address Japan. Government gives great importance to the recreation and entertainment industry. According to international classifications specialised in entertainment, three of the five most tourists-attractive entertainment cities around the world located at Japan:

1. Disneyland in Tokyo that receives 30 million visitors per year.

2. Disney sea in Tokyo which receives 10 million visitors per year.

3. Universal Studios City Walk Entertainment that receives 11 million visitors per year.

Experts credit for it for the arise of a cumulative economic effect reached Yin 1,5 trillion...

according to a survey conducted by Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Industry, entertainment parks in Japan recorded sales estimated by Yin 628.9 billion in the fiscal year 2014...

In addition to what is known that Japan is on the top of the countries producing electronic series and entertainment games, it is found millions of fans around the world eagerly watching the new series and episodes of Japanese manga, Anime and others...

Before moving to the third model, I will quote the phrase used by Michael Wolf in his book the Entertainment Economy, where he writes: (it is not the industry of cars, steel or banking services that lead the economic wheel in the world, but entertainment)...

Wolf confirms that the entertainment element is controlling all chooses of the people, such as malls where they buy their goods, fast-food restaurants where they have their lunch, pajamas they buy for their kids and airlines they decide to travel across. 

Entertainment is not a welfare but essential requirement that is no less important than education and health; the two services that take the most attention of all governments, in developing and industrial countries, and play great role in forming the political trends and social stability...

especially, as entertainment became closely linked to young and old people's educational programmes, and connected to sports activity for professionals and amateur and media innovations and other vital sectors in the life of each human daily..

The third model I will conclude my article by is the achievements of the United Arab of Emirates in the entertainment sector and the economic impact of that.

In Dubai, for example, IMG for adventures, the world's largest closed-air entertainment destination, with an investment cost of AED 3.7 billion, preceded by the “Wild Wadi” Water Park with its many slides designed for young and old. Also, “Sega Republic” at Dubai Mall, with five entertainment areas for all ages.

Dubai Ice Skating at Dubai Mall, which is more than the size of the Olympic circuit, and the list goes on when listing entertainment centres in Dubai and its impact on the economic movement of tourists that is enough to make the annual number of visitors to nearly fifteen million tourists who come to Dubai from all over the world. 

In Abu Dhabi, there is another type of entertainment.

Ferrari World, the world's first entertainment city inspired by the famous Ferrari cars.

It also has launched the Yas Water Park with 43 water slides; and the list goes on.

In January 2017, a report by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) in the UAE reported that the tourism and travel sector contributed to the country's economy by $ 64 billion in 2016.

This number is expected to be doubled over the next 10 years, as the research presented a vision for the growing value of travel, tourism and entertainment industry in the country and moving forward with a strategy to promote development.
